My name is Tyler. I am a recent college graduate, a writer, an artist, and above all, a music lover. I love writing about music specifically because it allows me to combine two of my favorite things in the world – and because it forces me to delve deeper into the music and analyze each piece of it. I find that this is the best way for me to fully appreciate the art that I am listening to and simultaneously communicate this appreciation to others.

I have freelanced for several independent publications in the past about various musical topics, and those projects were some of the coolest experiences of my life. It was such fun to experience music from inside the industry itself, and then to be able to relive it in writing. Now, I hope to continue my journey here. 

My favorite genres include punk rock, rock n’ roll, emo, ska, and other alternative styles – and this blog will encompass all of these and more. The mission of Sound Wave Parade is to showcase the work of various artists, whether it be by album or concert review or by interview. Here, we parade sound waves that deserve to be heard, appreciated, and discussed.
